Introduction

We set up this blog account a bit ago, but the past 6 weeks have been a whirlwind of activity and not much time available for writing. Pushing to finish projects at work, holiday parties, Christmas shopping...Finally all that is over and the world is quiet. First, an introduction is in order. In a nutshell we are Lauri and Susan, a lesbian couple who have been together 25 year, legally married 4 of those 25. Our relationship started off long distance, Lauri lived in NY and Susan lived in CO. After a bit it was clear this relationship was serious so Susan moved to NY and we started our lives together (and that is a very condensed version of our story!).

We are a bit opposite from one another. Susan grew up in a somewhat rural setting, Lauri grew up in the city. Susan likes skiing, cycling and outdoor activities, Lauri's more of an inside kind of girl. Susan was raised Catholic, Lauri is Jewish. Susan's dad taught her how to use tools and fix things, Lauri's dad taught her how to call a handyman. :) Despite this differences, we have a lot of common ground. We like traveling and experiencing new things, music, film, meeting new people, eating good food and of course drinking good liquor. We are very positive people who make each other laugh as well as those around us. We work hard and enjoy the fruits of our labor. We both love music, and it is through music how we met.
